I’m Yakub. I grew up in a musical family. My Father is a music teacher and Worship Pastor, my late Mother was a worship leader and my 3 sisters sing and play music, too. I have been serving since I was 11 years old and still serve to this day. I have taught music for 20 years across multiple disciplines (classic, jazz, compositions, worship, and orchestra) with students from 4 to 65 year olds. I am a classically trained Jazz pianist with full-ride scholarships from the University of Houston and Cornell School of Music. I am an endorsed pianist with StudioLogic and Audix Mic. My work has been featured in Netflix, PBS Masterpiece, BBC, EMI, and APM Music. I live and breathe music - and I hope to share my experience and joy with you.
